NDNR 5-STAR EVALUATION SYSTEM
This 5-Star Evaluation System is unique to NDNR in that each star takes into consideration a different aspect of making a financially themed documentary that we believe to be important by standard.  THIS SYSTEM DOES NOT DENOTE ANY OPINION ON THE FILMS INTENDED MESSAGE.

FIRST STAR:  Production
Is it obvious that the creator of this film was fluent in or understood general principals of film making?   Does it appear that the film had a fair amount of resources behind the making of it?

SECOND STAR:  Illustration
Does the film maker use the medium appropriately as a visual method of telling a story or communicating argument?  IE:  Could this script have been a podcast and been equally effective?

THIRD STAR:  Information
Is the information presented relevant, accurate, free of sensationalism and exaggeration?  Has the film maker presented enough information for a viewer to be considered informed?

FOURTH STAR: Balance
Is there an obvious slant or recurring theme deposing another point of view?  Has the documentary demonstrated effort to avoid slant or punditry?

FIFTH STAR:  Interest
Is the content of the film interesting?   Has the film maker captivated and held attention throughout the documentary?

*We would also like to remind you that documentaries, like books, most often contain arguments represented by a concerned party and may not present a balanced perspective.   As with all ideas, NDNR encourages you to investigate and be informed to derive your own truth.
